Details:

On the front journal it appears there is a small bit of surface rust where preventative they applied from factory was really thin. The camshaft has older 3 bolt sprocket mounting used on gen engines. If your engine is one bolt camshaft sprocket, there are adapter sprockets available to use this cam. It appears like would clean up fairly easily with some really fine steel wool or emery cloth.

The only flaw I can see is in one of photos. The item is in new, unused condition.

I sold the truck before it made in. It is compatible with gen 3 and 4 engines. It definitely will not effect the item if cleaned off properly. It does not appear to be very deep or pitted from the rust.
